MDstewardship is a team of Infectious Disease Physicians and Clinical Pharmacists that provide comprehensive Infectious Disease support for healthcare facilities of all sizes. We specialize in Infectious Disease consults and off-site Antimicrobial Stewardship through our TeleStewardship® services.
Antimicrobial Stewardship is now a CMS condition of participation (CoP) and required by The Joint Commission. Our TeleStewardship® service fulfills these requirements effectively and efficiently.
Studies have shown that hospitals benefit tremendously from utilizing remote stewardship led by experienced professionals compared to building their own program from scratch. COVID-19 has brought unique challenges to hospitals, especially those without ID support. Our physicians and pharmacists are available around the clock to answer COVID-19 questions.
Our Infectious Disease Physicians will oversee all inpatient antibiotics prescribed in your facility and offer individualized recommendations which will improve patient care and reduce costs. The healthcare facilities we serve are provided with around-the-clock access to our Infectious Disease Specialists. Rural hospitals can now have access to the same Infectious Disease Physicians and Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacists that are currently running successful programs in large teaching hospitals and at a reduced cost of a traditional in-house model.
